Standards
Every Ropeax site day starts with a safety briefing. Every technician holds at least one of the certifications below; most hold several.
IRATA
IRATA is the most widely recognised international rope access certification body. Its annual Work and Safety Analysis consistently shows a lower incident rate than conventional access methods. Ropeax crews are made up of IRATA Level 1, 2 and 3 technicians, and at least one Level 3 supervisor is present on every site.
SPRAT
SPRAT is the other major rope access standard, originating in North America and frequently required in US-led EPC contracts. Ropeax maintains both IRATA- and SPRAT-certified technicians so international specifications are met directly, without subcontracting.
ISO 22846
ISO 22846 defines the general principles of rope access methods and the organisational responsibilities of providers. Parts 1 (principles) and 2 (user guide) form the basis of the risk assessment methodology Ropeax prepares before every project.
EN 365
EN 365 specifies the marking, user-instruction and periodic-inspection requirements for fall-protection equipment. Every Ropeax harness, descender, ascender and anchor device is EN 365 compliant; inspection records are kept per technician.
LOLER
LOLER requires that all lifting equipment used in rope access be subjected to a thorough examination at least every six months. Ropeax documents every piece of equipment to a LOLER schedule; records are available to clients on request.
EN ISO 7010
EN ISO 7010 standardises the colours and symbols used for safety signage on industrial sites. Ropeax site briefings and signage follow this standard — a shared visual language across crews is critical to preventing incidents.
Careers
Ropeax is a tight crew of IRATA-certified technicians tackling the hardest work-at-height projects — from blade repair and refinery NDT to scoreboard rigging and Red Bull cliff-dive platforms. Every day brings a new engineering problem.
